Happy Boss' Day

Yesterday was Boss' Day.  It was also a very busy day for me at home and work, so I didn't get a chance to post this yet.   My boss is in the middle of building his home, so our team went with that theme for his gift too.

For the color choices, I was inspired by this week's Dynamic Duos challenge and used Soft Sued and Pool Party.

Showing off the layers of texture. There's a second die cut in soft suede under the white window die cut for layering and texture.  I used pop dots (SU Dimensionals on the window and again on the brick wall layer. 

The inside of the card has a pocket for a gift card.  I used a computer generated greeting and stamped another image of the chandelier on top of it.

Cheerful Monday - Birthday III

Here's my third Cheerful Monday card.   See the last two Mondays for the first two cards in this little four card collection.   .

An angled shot that shows off the dimension.  I adore embossing folders.  I'm hooked.   I think I have enough, but noooo then a new one comes out that I just have to have.   I'm beyond help.

And the inside of the card with a touch of embossing on one side.  I ran the cardstock into the machine for just an inch or so and backed it back out.

Wicked Collaboration

Halloween is around the corner.   The kids and I just went to the pumpkin patch this afternoon and picked out a pumpkin to carve.   Here's a card my daughter and I made for her teacher last year.

Cheerful Monday - Birthday II

The World Card Making Day/Mad Hatter Day

The gals over at Bombshell Stamps are participating in The World Card Making Day and combining it with Mad Hatter Day.   The challenge went out to the design team to make a project for the Bombshell Blog.

The helmet is from Vintage Motorcylces in honor of Mad Hatter Day and the bike itself is from Harley Bikes.   Both images are colored with Copics.  The greeting is from the Vintage Motorcycles set, heat embossed.  Shading with Distress inks.  Embossed silver cardstock using a Tim Holtz embossing folder.  Misc. ribbon.

Witches Trick or Treat

It's October and Hallween is just around the bend.  So it's time to post some Halloween cards.

Bomb Away the Blues

It's a rainy day around these parts and what better way to bomb away the blues than with an awesome Bombshell project.   I used my Bombshell Angel stamp, this months sketch challenge from Bombshell Stamps blog.  There's so much detail to this card, I just had to make the image a bit larger than I usually do.

The background is this great two sided print from Echo Park.  I thought of my Bombshell Angel stamp the moment I saw that paper in the store.  It used to be a crisp black and white.   I took a Spellbinder Embossing folder and some SU Going Grey classic ink to it.  I shaded the paper before embossing and then did another round of shading/distressing after running it through the embossing folder.    The blue paper is a print from Creative Memories that's got a few years on it, but I'm good with "vintage" paper if you will.  I love it all. The accents are some Basic Grey ribbon and a line of brads.

Now to the main image herself.   She's my Bombshell Angel from Bombshell Stamps.  I stamped her using Memento Ink (Rich Cocoa) and then colored her using my Copic markers.  I dressed her up like a paper doll using this coordinating cutting file from Bombshell Stamps. I cut the dress using Make The Cut software and my KNK Zing.  I shaded the blue dress (and the blue used for the mats) with some SU Classic ink.

And here's the inside of the card.  I ran a piece of white cardstock into the die cut machine but only an inch or less and rolled it back out.   I added some shading around the edges and a few scraps of printed paper (also shaded).  Viola... done!

I'm a Bombshell Pin Up!

I'm a Bombshell Pin Up!  Well, that's a fun announcement to make.   :-)   I've been tickled hot pink since I found out that Bombshell Stamps has selected me to be one of their guest designers.   I get to serve on their design team for six months and take a more substantial role for the month of December.   Yahooo!

I first discovered Bombshell Stamps when I was looking for some motorcycle stamps.  I have a Harley and love to ride.   It's nice to have my two main hobbies meet now and then, thus the search for some motorcycle stamps.   Well, I found some fabulous motorcycle images at Bombshell Stamps. It didn't take me long to order and I couldn't resist the Bombshell Angel and her digital file for clothing to go with her.   And I'm itching to bring a few of those hot rod cars home.

For fun, check out a few of my projects I already posted using Bombshell stamps CLICKY.  Oh and if you haven't already figured this out... I like all kinds of crafting styles.  I enjoy anywhere from the CAS (clean and simple) style to the grunge and distressed.
