A Cherry Ride

Welcome to this month's Bombshell Blog blog hop.   This month, Bombshell Stamps added a color challenge for the blog hop theme and I loved it.   I really enjoy color challenges as it is.  I don't have to think about color choices.  Yay.  Love having some of the picking and choosing done for me.   As a bonus, I used this month's Muse Monday feature stamp set called Harley Bikes. Given that I ride, this is one of my favorite stamp sets from Bombshell Stamps.   So here's my card.

And for inspiration, here's the color challenge for this month's Bombshell Stamps blog hop.

You can see a bit of the texture and dimension in this angled shot.

Lastly, the inside of the card.   I used my Marth Score board to add a few embossed lines and a stamped off impression of the same bike as on the front of the card.

Here's the Harley Bikes stamp set I used for my card.

Additional Supplies:
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), inside of card image stamped with Distress Ink and for subtle shading (Ranger/Tim Holtz)
Coloring: markers (Copic)
Printed Paper: On the Bright Side (My Mind's Eye),
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Lucky Limeade, Naturals White (Stampin' Up), white cardstock (Neenah)
Tools: Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), score board (Martha Stewart)
Accessories: Hemp twine, photo strip (Tim Hotz), mini staples (Tim Holtz), silver nail head stickers (JoAnn's), Scotch 3D foam adhesive

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave a comment if you like my card and enjoy the rest of the blog hop.

Refreshing Flower - ColourQ #138

This is my first time doing a ColourQ challenge.   I really love the cards they have posted and the inspiration to use color combinations that I normally wouldn't reach for on my own.

I used Stampin' Up DSP and cardstock.   The DSP is from this past Spring's Occasions mini catalog.   The greeting is also from Stampin Up (One of a Kind).  I used the Stampin' Up flower petal punch to create the large petals.   The inside petals are punched with two Marvy Uchida punches that I've had for ages.   The leaves and border are punched with Martha Stewart punches.   I cut the label using a Spellbinder's die.  I cut two extra shapes and cut them up to make the background layer.   The seam binding ribbon is from Stampin' Up.  I added a pearl to the center of the flower and used my Crop-A-Dial Corner Chomper by We R Memory Keepers. Almost forgot one more thing.   I used an Impression Obsession background stamp to stamp the stripes on the Crumb Cake card base.

Little Birdie Birthday Wishes (Mojo214)

I made this birthday card for my friend and Stampin' Up Demo, Chris Galbraith.  If you live in the Memphis area and want to get started with stamping, I couldn't recommend a better person to meet.   I really like making cards for her because 1) I know the card will go to someone that truly understands and appreciates what went into it and 2) I challenge myself to use only SU product, and when possible, use current SU product.

I used the Mojo Monday 214 sketch for this card with some adaptation.
