Happy Boss' Day

Yesterday was Boss' Day.  It was also a very busy day for me at home and work, so I didn't get a chance to post this yet.   My boss is in the middle of building his home, so our team went with that theme for his gift too.

For the color choices, I was inspired by this week's Dynamic Duos challenge and used Soft Sued and Pool Party.

Showing off the layers of texture. There's a second die cut in soft suede under the white window die cut for layering and texture.  I used pop dots (SU Dimensionals on the window and again on the brick wall layer.

The inside of the card has a pocket for a gift card.  I used a computer generated greeting and stamped another image of the chandelier on top of it.

For this week's Dynamic Duos challenge.

Supplies:
Stamps: Tim Holtz (French Connection), Stampin' Up (Just Believe)
Ink: Stampin' Up
Coloring: Copic Markers
Cardstock: Stampin' Up
Tools: Tim Holz embossing plate, Poppy Stamps window die, PC & printer for inside sentiment. SU punches for outside greeting

  1. This is a LOVELY card. I like the textures and dimension you put into layout and what a fun idea to overstamp the chandelier on the gift card pocket. TFS!

  6. You have one lucky boss! I love everything about this card. This is the first time I've seen someone use the window to look in to the house. So original. I've never seen a brick embossing folder either. I'm going to have to look for one for myself. It would be perfect for housewarming and masculine cards.
