Simply Irresistible Angel

Sometimes life gets a little busy for this working mom.  So instead of starting off April with Bombshell Stamp's sketch of the month, I'm finishing it up with this awesome and versatile sketch.   This card is also posted on the Bombshell Stamps Blog.  If you like this sketch, Bombshell Stamps posts their sketch on the 5th of every month.  Oh and if you like the dress this Bombshell is wearing, stop by on May 3rd for a tutorial on how to create a fabulous Bombshell outfit with your e-cutter and favorite printed designer paper.

I often take liberties with sketches and use them as inspiration.  This time I stayed pretty true to the sketch.  Here it is if you didn't catch it earlier this month.

Here's a bit of an angled shot that shows a bit of dimension.  I love pop dots and may need a 12 step program one of these days. Hmm... I could make steps with pop dots... anyway, back to the card.

Here's the inside of the card.

This card uses Bombshell's Bombshell Angel Stamp set

Additional Supplies:
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento), Distress Ink for shading (Ranger/Tim Holtz)
Coloring: Copic Markers
Printed Paper: Miss Caroline 6x6 (My Mind's Eye),
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Riding Hood Red, and Naturals White (Stampin' Up), Neenah white cardstock for the Bombshell.
Tools: e-cutter (KNK Zing), software (Make the Cut)
Accessories: Brads (Paper Studio),  Rub-on for the greeting (misc), Pop Dots, Ribbon (Stampin' Up)

A Cherry Ride

Welcome to this month's Bombshell Blog blog hop.   This month, Bombshell Stamps added a color challenge for the blog hop theme and I loved it.   I really enjoy color challenges as it is.  I don't have to think about color choices.  Yay.  Love having some of the picking and choosing done for me.   As a bonus, I used this month's Muse Monday feature stamp set called Harley Bikes. Given that I ride, this is one of my favorite stamp sets from Bombshell Stamps.   So here's my card.

And for inspiration, here's the color challenge for this month's Bombshell Stamps blog hop.

You can see a bit of the texture and dimension in this angled shot.

Lastly, the inside of the card.   I used my Marth Score board to add a few embossed lines and a stamped off impression of the same bike as on the front of the card.

Here's the Harley Bikes stamp set I used for my card.

Additional Supplies:
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), inside of card image stamped with Distress Ink and for subtle shading (Ranger/Tim Holtz)
Coloring: markers (Copic)
Printed Paper: On the Bright Side (My Mind's Eye),
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Lucky Limeade, Naturals White (Stampin' Up), white cardstock (Neenah)
Tools: Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), score board (Martha Stewart)
Accessories: Hemp twine, photo strip (Tim Hotz), mini staples (Tim Holtz), silver nail head stickers (JoAnn's), Scotch 3D foam adhesive

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave a comment if you like my card and enjoy the rest of the blog hop.

Party Animal Invites

Supplies:
Stamps: CTMH (Party Animal)
Ink: Memento
Coloring: Copic
Paper: Hammermill Coverstock for the card base, DCWV textured cardstock
Tools: Spellbinders (scalloped squares)

Blue Harley Spin

This card is a challenge Mash up of Bombshell Stamps Monday Muse and this week's Retro Sketch #58.   I Bombshell Stamp's Muse Monday challenge was to use what happened to be one of my favorite stamp sets - Harley Bikes.   The motorcycle stamps are just awesome.   They really capture the character and a lot of detail of the real thing.

Here's an angled shot to show some of the detail and dimension.

The inside is mostly still blank except for a simple image of the bike.

This is the Retro Sketch #58 that I used for inspiration.

Supplies:
Stamps: Bombshell Stamps ( Harley Bikes)
Ink : Memento (Tuxedo Black), Stampin' Up (Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler)
Coloring: Copic Markers
Paper: Stampin' Up Cardstock (Sahara Sand), My Mind's Eye printed paper (On the Bright Side)
Toosls: EK Success Corner rounder, Tim Holtz embossing folder (Diamond Plate)
Accessories: Hemp twine, Misc ribbon, Stampin' Up mesh.

Racing Blues

This is for April's Bombshell Stamps Pin-Up challenge.   This month's pin up, Theresa Abajo, challenged us to make a monochromatic card.  I used Bombshell Stamps Vintage Raceway stamp set, colored it with Copics, and then decided to hunt down a printed paper to match.  One of these days, I'm going to have to pull out the paper before I color.

Supplies:
Stamps: Bombshell Stamps (Vintage Raceway)
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Coloring: Copics, Sakura (Stardust Clear Gel)
Paper: Stampin' Up
Cardstock: Stampin' Up (Brilliant Blue, Night of Navy)
Accents: misc ribbon
Tools: Martha Steward (large corner rounder)

Featured Stamp Set: Bombshell Stamps (Vintage Raceway)

Merry-Go-Card

I was browsing around Hobby Lobby the other day and noticed this beautiful Merry-Go-Round horse.  On a whim, I picked it up.   I put it to use on this card colored with Copic markers and accented with some gorgeous printed paper by My Mind's Eye (Miss Caroline collection).

Here's the inside of the card.   I stamped the image again, but very faintly.  I used Stampin' Up Pretty in Pink ink, stamped off on a scratch piece of paper and then stamped on the card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Stampin' Up (Pretty in Pink - inside, and Lavender Lace - shading)
Paper: My Mind's Eye (Miss Caroline) printed paper, Stampin' Up cardstock
Tools: Front: Fiskars border punch, , Ranger paper distresser;  Inside: Creative Memories heart shape punch
Accessories: Ribbon (Stampin' Up)

I'm on the Bombshell Team!

I've got some great news to share.  Last December I got to serve as a guest designer, a.k.a. Bombshell Pin-Up for Bombshell Stamps.   I was very pleased when they asked me to join the design team as a full fledged Bombshell.

Here are some of the cards I posted before using Bombshell Stamps.   These are awesome stamps that I would use regardless of design team membership, but I confess, I'm looking forward to the inspiration the next six months will bring.
